In the morning of Mar. 20, the top management of SWS together with the persons in charge of Working Planning Dept. , Erection Dept., Machinery Installation and Commissioning Dept., Blasting and Coating Dept., Piping Fabrication Dept., SWS Design and Research Institution, Science and Technology Management Dept. and Accuracy Management Dept. inspected the integrity condition of 10A and 10B grand sections which are for Ocean Bulk projects H1372 and H1373 in No.1 per-erection platform. The successfully acceptance of these 4 grand sections marked that the new subject promoted in 2015---the 2nd phase of "Cancellation of overall grinding and painting work in engine room" was successfully implemented on the 10A+ 10B grand sections.
Since Jan.23, the 1st phase of "Cancellation of overall grinding and painting work in engine room" had obtained the anticipated effects, SWS steadily promoted the 2nd phase which is the integrity condition of 10A and 10B on structure, outfitting and painting. Based on the experience of the 1st phase, SWS Production Planning Dept. set up the detailed plan on 2nd phase and all the production departments steadily promoted this plan to achieve the target in 2nd phase. Confronting the difficulties such as longterm spring festival and tight lifting and space resources, all production departments made great efforts to ensure the initial target was eventually achieved.
The successful implementation of both the 1st and 2nd phases of "Cancellation overall grinding and painting work in engine room" not only can reduce the period of all kinds of installation operation, and improve the production effectiveness, but also can well organized the manpowers to effectively solve the idle manpower problem and balanced the all kinds of material input in drydock. It also realized the working process shifted forward which is "Shifting the working in drydock forward to the working on per-erection platform, and shifting the working along the quay area forward to the working in drydock", and effectively improved the environment in drydock and quay area during construction period and reduced the construction risks.
