In the afternoon of Dec. 18th, the company successfully submitted the 6 container-lifting tests of 8F cabins on H6002 externally. As the representative project of the first built container ship in SWS, the container-lifting test has been completed successfully, that marks Hull-outfitting and Installation Dept. has moved one firm step forward towards its goal of completing 50% of all container-lifting tests before launching. All of these have greatly encouraged the employees in SWS who have just tasted to build large container ship.
The 18000 TEU container ship has 11 large freight houses including the front and back ones. There are 19 container slots in the tested cabin No.8. Under cooperation of relevant departments, the first container-lifting test was completed on Dec. 18th.
Section No.3 of Hull-outfitting and Installation Dept. overcame difficulties during the preparation of the first container-lifting test. Targeting at problems of construction in the corner and at height, a special JSA analysis was organized to implement all supporting measures to control risks. After half month construction, site has delivered tests of rails in cabins, and integrity of container foot. It laid firm foundation for the first container-lifting test.
It is reported that Hull-outfitting and Installation Dept. would continue accumulating experiences to improve delivery efficiency and contribute more for the successful delivery of 18000 TEU container ship.
