On August 6, SWS held a signing ceremony of serial M/Es with CSSC Marine Power(Group) Co., Ltd. Wang Qi, Secretary of the Party Committee and Chairman of SWS, Chen Gang, Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee and President of SWS, Yuan Feipeng, Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee and Chairman of the Trade Union, Li Zheng, Secretary of the Party Committee and Chairman of CMP, Shao Yu, Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee and President of CMP, and other relevant leaders attended the ceremony. Zhang Qipeng, Vice President of SWS and Qiu Chunhua, Vice President of CMP signed the contract on behalf of both parties.

The contract covers M/Es for multiply kinds and types of SWS’s handheld ships including the 7000TEU container vessels and the 114K DWT Afra oil tankers. It is not only a match of the outstanding brands of the two enterprises, but also a full practice of centralized procurement strategy, giving full play to the advantage of scale procurement, and effectively reducing the procurement costs under the new situation, which has a positive role in enhancing the core competitiveness of SWS.

The two sides had in-depth communication and reached broad consensus on fields of the conventional power, FGSS, and industrial chain development of main merchant vessel-types at the ceremony.
