At 4:18 p.m. April 16, the Steel Cutting Ceremony of H1418, the CJ50 Jack-up Drilling Rig built for BOD, was held in Cutting Center, SWS. Following the previous two generations of Jack-up Drilling Rigs--JU2000E and CJ46, the CJ50 is the 3rd generation unit constructed by SWS. H1418 became the new member of SWS offshore products group, which indicated SWS had achieved remarkable results in the strategy of restructuring to promote offshore business. H1418 is the 3rd unit which had already been started steel cutting in 2+2+2 CJ46 and CJ50 Jack-up Drilling Rigs building contracts for BOD. This unit is maturely designed by GustoMSC, classed by ABS and qualified by CDS certificate, whose upper construction can accommodate up to 150 people. The platform has triangular hull with three triangle truss legs, which were supported by the pile shoes below. The modified triangular hull is 70 meters long and 68 meters wide. The length of spud leg is 166.98 meters. The maximum drilling variable load is 6100 tons, the maximum overhang distance of cantilever is 24.4 m at longitudinal operation, and the distance of lateral movement is 7.62m. The maximum net hook capacity is 908t and the maximum operation depth is 400 ft. The maximum drilling depth is up to 30,000 ft.
