SWS Attended 2014 China International Industrial Exhibition

In the morning of Nov. 4th, 2014 China International Industrial Exhibition was held in Shanghai. With the unified arrangement of CSSC, SWS attended the Exhibition as an exhibitor. Under the joint efforts of SWS and No. 708 Design and Research Institute, the 18,000 TEU container ship was contested in the exhibition. It was awarded a sliver prize in "the 16th China International Industrial Exhibition" in the end. The exhibited products also include the previous old gold prized 3000 meter deepwater semi-submersible drilling rig. On Nov. 3rd, SWS, as a domestic leading shipyard, represented shipbuilding industry and was invited to the 2014 China International Industrial Exhibition Technology Forum--- A Seminar of Anti-Corrosion Technology and its Standardization. The committee specially invited the leading expert "Zhou Bin" from our design and research institute to deliver a speech. Zhou Bin made a speech on "Opinions and suggestions on surface process complied in global standards". The speech comprehensively analyzed from angles of economic performance, manufacturing crafts, environmental protection, and it discussed the plausibility and necessity of promoting grit sweeping technology in large scale. His research filled the domestic gap in this area, and it has aroused great interest from participants. It is reported that the 5-day exhibition was themed as "high-end, intelligent, and green". The exhibition has divisions of digital tool and metal manufacturing exhibition, industrial automation exhibition, industrial robots exhibition, new energy and electricity exhibition, information and communication technology application exhibition, environmental protection technology and equipment exhibition, energy saving and new energy cars exhibition, technology innovation exhibition. The exhibition breaks its historical records in scale, number of exhibitors, and the number of overseas exhibitors.
