In the morning of October 27th 2014, companied by sunlight and breeze, H1071, the first VLGC in China built by SCH marched out of No. 5 wharf and started her sea trial journey, which marked the first victory of VLGC series construction and made significant contribution to the company’s transformation. As the first product of VLGC series, H1071 meets the high technological standard, overcoming the constructional difficulty of “zero experience”. The construction of H1071 not only fully completed all the technological milestones but also optimized construction and management processes during some crucial stages, laying solid foundation for the following construction. On July 15th 2014, H1071 successfully undocked and stepped in the next stage of wharf construction. Since the submission of generator, intensity test of liquid cargo, fully implementation of regular system and stable promotion of liquid cargo system, every step she took was steady and solid. The completion of main engine trial on September 30th, inclined test on October 24th and re-liquefied unit compressor trial on October 26th marked H1071 has finished all the mooring tests items in good condition waiting for her journey on the sea. Moreover, H1071 also set a record of “the building cycle of 100 days on wharf of the first VLGC in China”.
