In the afternoon of Oct 14th, the Keel-laying Ceremony of the first-built PSV (H1340) which is built for Pacific Radiance of Singapore was successfully held at SWS offshore according to the schedule. Accompanied by the sound of fire cracks, H1340 was slowly transfered to the floating dock.
PSV is the second type of vessel after four deliveries of 4,200 ton refueling ships at SWS Offshore, and H1340 is an offshore supporting vessel, which is also the first built PSV project. This ship has a design draft of 3,100 ton, with maximum load weight of 4,000 ton, classified by DNV, and the sea trail is scheduled by the end of 2014.
The successful keel laying ceremony of H1340, being the first PSV, marks that SWS Offshore has forwarded an important step towards special offshore vessels building, and it has a significant meaning for the upcoming mass production of PSV.
