On Sept. 1, SWS respectively completed four milestones including launching of one Unit, floating of one Unit, and Steel Cutting of two units, that took the new climax of the construction of Jack Up Drilling Rigs. In that afternoon, With Mr. Sun Yuanhui, Chairman of Shandong Offshore Engineering Equipment Co., Ltd and Mr. Wang Qi, President of SWS pressing the button of Cutting Machine together, the project H1379 officially started its construction. The Project H1379 is the second project of the 2+2+2 construction contract which sws signed with BOD, the oversea subsidiary of Shandong Offshore Engineering Equipment Co., Ltd. The Vice President of SWS, Mr. Chen Jun said, since construction of H1378, the first unit of the order, the sincere cooperation and efficient exchanging mechanisms have been established between SWS and BOD. Recently, complying with the CSSC's development strategy and based on the successfully construction of the 3,000 meter deepwater semi-submersible drilling rig “Hai Yang Shi You 981”,SWS has actively promoted the restructuring of Offshore Products, especially for drilling rigs and made good performance. SWS has always continued to pursue innovation, built the offshore products with high quality and high efficiency, who had a first class professional group of engineering, procurement and construction to ensure the successful delivery of every Drilling Platforms. The Chairman of Shandong Offshore Engineering Equipment Co., Ltd, Mr. Sun Yuanhui said, SWS has successfully delivered many fine merchant vessels and offshore products, the company has good experience and advanced technology in building the offshore products, who also has an excellent management team and historical performances. All the above mentioned are the reasons why BOD make the cooperation with the SWS. He sincerely anticipated that H1379 is another example of the two parties good cooperation so that BOD will establish the long term strategy partnership. The Steel Cutting of H1348, the JU2000E Jack Up Drilling Rig which built for CSSC (HK) Shipping Co., Ltd. was also held in that day. Meanwhile, the third project for POD, H1320, the JU2000E Jack up Drilling Rig launched from No.2 Drydock and its fourth unit H1319 successfully floated up at the same dry-dock. Particularly the completion of the four milestones of the Offshore Products in the same day indicated SWS has actually made a breakthrough of serial and standardized production for Jack Up drilling rigs. After successfully delivery of the first built JU2000E Jack Up Drilling Rig--H1288, another unit--H1388 is to be delivered by SWS in this month. Climaxes of the construction of Jack Up Drilling Rigs are coming wave after wave. In recent two years, SWS has insisted on the restructuring strategy, the offshore products, especially the high-end drilling rigs have been regarded as the breakthrough direction to rush into the construction market of Jack Up Rilling Rigs.
