In hot summer right now, the high temperature is a test for safety production. The living condition and working situation of the workers at production line are also concerned by leaders of the Shanghai federation of trade union. On the morning of August 14th 2014, Xiao Kuntao, Deputy Chairman of Shanghai Federation of Trade Union, arrived at SWS with his colleagues. They represented the federation of trade union to comfort the workers who were working at the production line in shipbuilding enterprises. They inspected and required company to put all the measures of heatstroke prevention into use. Xiao Kuntao and his colleagues first went to NO.2 dock area to check the current production of SWS and offshore platform building condition and then visited the workshop of Machinery Installation and Commissioning Dept. In “the House of Employees”, they presented the team of borers who owned the title of “Shanghai Model Workers Team” some cooling articles and different kinds of heatstroke prevention electrical equipments to express gratitude to them for their hard work, and asked for details about the measures of heatstroke prevention and dietetic hygiene which were carried out by production departments in summer. In the Science and Technology Building of SWS, the leaders from Shanghai Federation of Trade Union listened to the reports of “heatstroke prevention, employee caring” and “safety production, heatstroke prevention” given by Zhu Dadi, Deputy Secretary of party committee and chairman of Labor Union in SWS, Cui Qiming, chairman of Shanghai Shipbuilding Enterprises Labor Union. In addition, on behalf of Shanghai Federation of Trade Union, Xiao Kuntao presented SWS high temperature consolation bonus. He pointed out that Xi Jinping, Party Committee Secretary of China， had emphasized that safety production was big deal concerning human life. It was a red line nobody could step on. Xiao also said that the labor union leaders must firmly build up bottom line and strengthen their red line consciousness. Especially in hot summer, food safety, good environment for the employees to work and rest must be guaranteed.
