On Aug. 1, No. 1 Industrial Dept. of National Standardization Committee held the "Forum on Demonstration Standardization of National Advanced Equipment Manufacturing Industry" in Shanghai. Our company as the main research unit of the offshore engineering equipment -- jack-up drilling rigs which is the national standardization demonstration project, attended the Forum and made a report on behalf of the research team. At the Forum, the comprehensive standardization experts from various industries have carried out the site-reviews on the implementation of our demonstration project and expressed their satisfaction. The experts said the jack-up drilling rigs comprehensive standardization demonstrative project adopts the advanced integrated standard concepts and methods, based on taking "target" as the guidance, and taking the systematic analysis of the project carrier, thus forming the embryonic form of a jack-up drilling rig standards complexes which developed a rigorous plan for follow-up standards, and also provided the methods and measures for the dynamic and continuous improvement of the standard complex. After the meeting, the leaders and the experts went to SWS Offshore for visiting JU2000E jack-up drilling rigs.
