The 9,000-ceu Pure Car and Truck Carrier (PCTC) H1608, built for Italy’s Grimaldi Group, has successfully completed its sea trials and safely returned to the SWS shipyard. As the sixth vessel in this series built by SWS, the H1608 project team drew extensively on experience from previous ships, further optimizing construction processes and maintaining strict adherence to rhythmic production targets. Through close collaboration across departments, the team not only achieved the "Three Cancellations" objectives but also accomplished fully rust-free construction, enabling the vessel to sail for trials in near-completion condition.

During the trials, SWS team followed established trial management procedures, clearly defined roles and responsibilities, and dynamically adjusted test plans based on actual sea conditions. Key tests, including main engine performance, EEDI speed trial, fuel consumption and so on, were completed smoothly, with all results meeting design specifications and earning recognition from the owner’s site team and the classification society.

This successful sea trial reaffirms SWS’s capability in the serial construction of high-quality, eco-friendly car carriers and underscores our commitment to delivering vessels that exceed shipowner's expectations.
