SWS today celebrated the dual naming ceremony for two new 114,000 DWT Aframax product tankers built for the esteemed Tai Chong Cheang Steamship Co., (H.K.) Ltd. (TCC Group). The vessels, named "CSK JUBILEE" and "KWK REVELATION", signify a momentous renewal of the partnership between the two companies, two decades after their first landmark collaboration. Following the ceremony, the "KWK REVELATION" was officially delivered.

TCC Group, a renowned shipping enterprise with a legacy dating back to 1917, is a highly respected force in the global maritime industry. The foundation for this enduring partnership was laid on October 17, 1999, when Mr. Frank Koo, Chairman of TCC, demonstrated immense trust by signing a Letter of Intent for 1+1 175,000 DWT Cape-size bulk carriers with the newly established SWS. This marked the very first shipbuilding contract in SWS's history.

This initial cooperation culminated in the naming and delivery of the "XIANG RUI" on June 25, 2003. As the largest green and environmentally friendly bulk carrier in China at the time, it was also the first vessel in the country to receive the "Green Notation" from ABS. The successful delivery of the "XIANG RUI" and subsequent vessels in this series not only cemented SWS's leading position in the construction of large-tonnage vessels but also established the SWS-TCC collaboration as a model of economic exchange between Shanghai and Hong Kong and a driving force in China's shipbuilding industry.

Now, over twenty years later, the two industry leaders have joined forces once again. The newly named "CSK JUBILEE" and "KWK REVELATION" are sophisticated, eco-friendly Aframax tankers meticulously crafted by SWS for TCC. Incorporating advanced technological innovations, including hydrodynamic optimization, both vessels fully comply with the most stringent international environmental standards: EEDI Phase III, NOx Tier III emission limits, and SOx emission requirements.
