On June 28, on the occasion of the centennial of the founding of the CPC, SWS honorably named "Shan Dong De Tai", the 180,000-dwt bulk carrier, which was built for Shandong Shipping and financed by Bocomm Leasing. This is the final bulk carrier of the 10 series batch orders by which all parties shouldered the responsibility and mission to celebrate the centennial anniversary of the CPC with outstanding achievements.

Party secretary & Chairman Yu Bing, president Gao Changfeng and vice president Gu Zhiwei of Shandong Shipping, vice president Wang Dong of Bocomm Leasing Co., Ltd., deputy secretary of party Committee & president Chen Gang and vice president Zhang Qipeng of SWS attended the naming ceremony. Zou Renjie, president of Qingdao Branch of OCBC Wing Hang Bank (China) Limited, cut the ribbon and unveiled the ship’s name. Zhang Song, assistant president of SWS, presided over the naming ceremony.

In the two years since the steel cutting of the prototype ship of series bulk carriers in June 2019, all 10 bulk carriers have been delivered in advance or on scheduled time stipulated in the contracts. With the cooperation and close communication of Shandong Shipping’s supervision team and CCS’s site team, SWS has realized the batch rhythmic production of bulk carriers with the goal of high-quality delivery. Based on the modern shipbuilding mode of lean production, SWS fully implemented the block and section boring technology of shaft-rudder system in this series of projects, vigorously promoted the improvement of the integrity of the engine room section, continuously realized the advance of production process, continuously shortened and fixed the key dock and berthing circles, achieved several breakthroughs with the highest integrity before launching and the shortest dock cycle, and obtained high recognition from shipowners and classification societies.
