SWS and FMC signed shipbuilding contracts for two 180K DWT bulk carriers

On the Moring of June 28, 2017, SWS and FMC signed shipbuilding contract for two (2) 180K DWT bulk carriers. Ms. Angela Chao, vice chairman of FMC; Mr. Hu Kai, vice president of CSTC and Mr. Tao Ying, CTO of SWS signed the contracts. Mr. Wang Qi, Chairman of SWS, Li Mingqing, President of FMC, Mr. Wu Aijun, Assistant President of CSTC & Vice President of 4th business department, and etc, witnessed the signing ceremony.

Before the ceremony, Mr. Wang Qi met with Angela Chao and other present guests. He expressed thanksgiving for FMC’s trust and support to SWS all the time. Both sides said that they would take this signing as a starting point to carry out further long term cooperation.

It is reported that the newly signed 180K DWT cape size bulk carriers, which is R&D and designed by SWS independently, are the 8th generation of energy saving and environmental protection bulk carries. They meet the latest regulation of HCSR and Tier III, and have higher flexibility than other similar-type products during operation.
