The Naming Ceremony of one 300,000 DWT VLCC, which bearing the Seller’s Hull Number H1356, was held on May 4th,2016 in No.2 quay of Shanghai Waigaoqiao Shipbuilding Co., Ltd,(SWS). The Vessel was built by SWS for Gener8 Maritime Inc. Mr. Sheng Jigang, the President of SWS, and Mr. Leo Vrondissis, the Chief Financial Officer of Gener8 Maritime Inc., were invited to attend the ceremony.
As a worldwide famous shipping company, Gener8 Maritime Inc.has became one of the respected partners of SWS. With the wishes of all the present guests, Mrs. Ellie Vrondissis, the Sponsor, named the Vessel with “Gener8 Andriotis”, and unveil the Name of the Vessel.
After the Naming Ceremony, the principals of SWS, together with relevant representative, invited the guests to anticipate the Cocktail reception and Buffet lunch on the navigation bridge of the Vessel. The host and the guests all toasted for the great relationships for both parties which established during the construction of the vessel, and also looking forward to strengthen the existing relationship, and the further cooperation in the future as well.
