On Feb 25th, under the joint efforts among the offshore project department, No.2 design institution, SWS hull out-fitting dept, quality control dept and dimensional control dept, the first CJ46 jack-up that SWS built for ESSM had successfully completed cantilever and weight tests. The cantilever and drilling structure are more than 1,600 tons and because of its large weight, the test process used jack that was able to push up to 1000 kilos weight and installed a pressure sensor to control data and calculate the accurate weight and center of the weight. As it was introduced, the tests were important milestones for H1368, and all project related departments had well preparation, made contingency plans for implementation and execution. At 11 on 25th, after a few minor adjustments of weights and check-ups, the cantilever test began. The test went well in 2 hours and it ended at 1 pm. The result shows the given data was anticipated to the jack-up construction; meanwhile, data were approved by owner and classification society. The completion of the tests is a result of hardworking and it provides precious experience for the upcoming jack-up construction.
