On November 12, the running test of emergency generator of 186 dwt bulk carrier (H1290) was successfully completed during the platform stage. At 10 a.m., in the engine casing construction site of Pipe Fabrication Dept. (SLO), when Mr. Chen Zheng - Vice President of SLO pressed the power switch, the running test of the emergency generator was started successfully. The successful running test of emergency generator during the platform stage marks the construction integrity of both superstructure and engine casing has been greatly improved. “The running test of emergency generator was completed during the platform stage” has been realized in SWS, while it is the first time for SLO to complete the running test of emergency generator during the platform stage, which is also a new challenge for them. For realizing the running test of emergency generator during the platform stage, not only a lot of technical problems need to be solved, but also a lot of pre-production preparations need to be done. All production departments had to coordinate very well for controlling the production period, and there are higher demands on both the construction integrity and quality. Facing challenges, the directors of all departments carefully organized the production and worked together with the front-line workers for the active preparation, careful construction and the strict quality control. With the care of leadership and the support of brother departments, all installation and inspections before the running test have been completed ahead, which laid a good foundation for the successful running test of emergency generator during the platform stage.
