On Sep. 11, the last 115k DWT bulk carrier (H1008) built for COSBULK was launched 3 days ahead of the schedule, which marks the construction of first batch of the thirty 115k DWT bulk carriers in drydock was completed. The construction of H1008 carried on many improvements of her sister ships. Through a lot of exploration and practice, SCH has gradually explored a more mature construction mode for bulk carriers. It spent only 8 days in delivering the tightness inspection of 4 ballast tanks, which is 5 days ahead of the SCH schedule, and has created a new record for the inspection cycle of ballast tanks in bulk carriers. On Sep. 4, the ballast tanks and the integrity of shell plate were ready for coating, which laid a solid foundation for the launching ahead of schedule. The integrity of H1008 before launching has been further improved than H1007. Meanwhile, with the cooperation of the owner, class and Quality Assurance and Control Dept. the accepted rate of inspection also had been improved obviously, and the construction quality has been unanimously approved by owner and class.
