On September 23rd, SWS delivered the 210k DWT Newcastle bulk carrier “Trust Singapore”, which was built for ICBC Leasing Co., Ltd. and chartered and operated by CITIC Metals Co., Ltd.
Kou Guangchao, senior manager of the Shipping Finance Department of ICBC Leasing, Zheng Minsheng, general manager of the Asia Pacific Department of CSTC, and Ye Jie, director of the Sales and Marketing Department of SWS, singed the delivery protocol on behalf of all parties. Kou Guangchao also accepted the ship registration certificate issued by Xiang Datian, chief director of Hong Kong Maritime Department in Shanghai region.
"Trust Singapore" is independently designed and built by SWS, with a total length of 299.88m, a molded width of 50.00m, a molded depth of 25.20m and an assured speed of 14.5 knots. It meets TIER III and HCSR regulations and is classified into LR. The ship's mooring arrangement meets the requirements of the Panama Canal Navigation Regulation issued in 2021 and the helicopter fire fighting configuration is equipped according to the latest requirements of IACS FFS CODE.
"Trust Singapore" succeed in the severe test against typhoon “In-Fa” not long after it had been launched and berthed at the quayside. All members of its project team united to consolidate a safe barrier, and made concerted efforts to ensure the delivery of the ship smoothly. In particular, in the phase of mooring tests, based on accumulated experience of serial ships, they significantly reduced the mooring cycle into 33 days, which renewed the record by the least mooring cycle of SWS in recent years, and realized smooth delivery of the third ship of the series under strong support of the shipowner and the class surveyors.
