At 14:00pm on December 8th 2014, the 2nd ship of VLGC series, H1072, completed all the sea trial items successfully and docked at No.5 pier after the return voyage. As the 2nd ship of VLGC series to undergo sea trial, the regular items on this ship were promoted effectively, meanwhile, the team of H1072 absorbed the experience of H1071 (the first ship of VLGC series), and consulted the sea trial NCRs of H1071. They improved the preparation before sea trial, optimized the voyage plan, and made all the items in a better condition for inspection. Under the guidance of H1072 project team, the whole building group was recognized properly, worked effectively, and each sea trial item was launched compactly with no time being wasted. As a consequence, H1072 achieved the goal of reducing sea trial period. Compared with the first ship, H1072 made a good result with 3 days less, which not only laid a good foundation of eliminating sea trial NCRs and the loading test, but also built up confidence and inspired morale.
