Naming and Delivery of H1305, the first VLCC built for China Merchants Energy Shipping Co., Ltd. Late autumn in November is the harvest season in the year. On Nov. 12, the naming ceremony of H1305, the first 318,000 DWT VLCC built for China Merchants Energy Shipping Co., Ltd, was held at No.3 Quay of SWS. Mr. Hu Wenming, Chairman of CSSC, Mr. Nan Daqing, Vice President of CSSC, Mr. Li Jianhong, Chairman of CHINA MERCHANTS GROUP, Mr. Su Xingang, Vice President of CHINA MERCHANTS GROUP and many guests from all circles were invited to attend the ceremony. Dr. Wang Qi, President of SWS hosted the ceremony and Mr. Huang Yongxi, Chairman of SWS delivered the greeting speech. Mr. Huang said, China Merchants Energy Shipping Co., Ltd is not only a powerful shipping company in shipping industry, but also is a close business partner of SWS. This naming of the new building vessel started the new period of strategy cooperation between each other. He sincerely hope that the two parties could take this opportunity to make greater contribution for the common prosperity of China Shipping and China Shipbuilding. Mr. Li Jianhong said, the cooperation between CHINA MERCHANTS GROUP and CSSC complied with the requirement of "Promote Sound Development of Marine" which had just been enacted by State Council of China. This cooperation is significant for promoting sound development of Marine, for upgrading the international core competitiveness, for guaranteeing marine economic security, for building a marine poweras well as for improving comprehensive national power. While he highly praised the R&D capabilities, superb construction of SWS and the working attitude of seeking perfection. Mr. Li also hope the both sides could further strengthen communication and deepen the cooperation. With the blessing of all attendees, Mr. Li Jianhong named the new building vessel as "NEW DREAM", Mrs. Zou Yingying, President of Legal Affairs of China Merchants Energy Shipping Co., Ltd cut the ribbon and unveiled the new vessel. This vessel is the first one of the 3 plus 2 new building 318,000 dwt VLCCs . Before the naming ceremony, Mr. Xie Chunlin, President of China Merchants Energy Shipping Co., Ltd, Mr. Li Hongtao, President of CSTC and President of SWS, and Dr. Wang Qi signed the delivery document together.
