In the morning of July 26th, the No.1 Drydock opened its gate that indicates the 5th round of the two-vessel launching in No.1 Drydock successfully started. The launching of two vessels are both built for Frontline, and they are the 5th (H1268) and 6th (H1329)180 K DWT Capesize Bulk Carriers. Meanwhile, the semi-hull of the two vessels successfully completed the stage of floating in the halfway completion at the same drydock, and they are the 7th (H1283) and 8th (H1330) 180 K DWT Bulk Carriers also built for Frontline.
According to company's early plan this year, these two vessels from 5th round of launching should achieve the 5th phase of target of "installing Main Engine, Generator, Anchor Wing, rudder and boiler", which means the M/E mooring test must be delivered within 30 days after launching. In addition, "SWS" Production Operation Dept. worked out a detailed plan on M/E programs for H1268 and H1329 after keel laying, and all the production line departments will carry out the working according with this plan. With the joint efforts of all, the Machinery Installation and Commissioning Dept. achieved the completion of alignment of shafting and fix of foundation bolt and ice screw, finished batten down and fueling of M/E lube oil circulating oil tank as well as started the flushing oil at outside of M/E
It is reported that the integrity for launching of H1268 and H1329 was in excellent condition. Since June 16th till July 26th, H1268 and H1329 took 40 days in drydock to complete the stage of floating of semi-hull. During the construction period, which coincides with the rain season, although the rainy weather had influenced the paint work seriously and the high temperature days would arrive in the middle of the July, all the departments worked hard and were not afraid to difficulties, especially the Erection Dept., Blasting and Coating Dept., Machinery Installation and Commissioning Dept. and Hull-outfitting and Installation Dept. assured the schedule of achieving the well integrity for launching in 40 days and guaranteed the outfitting period within 45 days.
