At 1:30pm on the 16th of July, while three buses slowly came into SWS, a group of young employees of SWS wearing red vest that marks "young volunteers" were standing in order for welcoming more than 110 high school students from Qinghai province, Tibet, Shandong province, and Zhejiang province. The students attended "2014 Summer Camp on the topic of shipping activity for high school teenagers", which was organized by China association for science and technology, CSSC, and Shanghai Jiaotong University.
The reception follows last year's "Special Shipping Summer Camp", and the topic this year was in accordance with CSSC's unified deployment, which was to reorganize the type of reception activity. Led by CPC Affairs Dept, Executive Administration Office, Public Relations Dept, and collaborated by HSE Dept, 18 volunteers from Executive Administration Office, Public Relations Dept, HSE Dept, Design and Research Institute, Power Supply and Facility Maintenance Dept and Manufacturing Dept warmly welcomed the students.
The students had a tour in exhibition hall at Science and Technology Building and then visited manufacturing site. On the bus, commentators introduced the company's brand, the production process, docks, quays and the vessels that are under construction. Students who attended the special shipping camp for the first time, were interested, constantly asking questions, which were answered by volunteers patiently one by one.
In the exhibition hall at the science and technology building, commentators described each vessel in details, especially for the "Haiyangshiyou 981" model, the students were interested in the parameters of offshore products, and excitedly took photos beside the model.
After the visit, students watched the video of "Offshore Legend" in conference hall, and then the Deputy Chief Designer from research institute and Dry Bulk Carrier Expert---Lu Hua introduced the company's current situation and future development. The activity ended by taking a photo in front of Science and Technology building.
