SWS Held New Design Introduction in Greece Successfully

On June 19, "2014 SWS New Design Introduction" was held in Athens, Greece. There were about 150 people attended the Promotion including old and new Greek ship owners, representatives from classification societies who were invited by SWS. Those gathered to renew their friendships and to know more about new merchant vessels products and new offshore products "SWS" has developed, and they also looked ahead of a beautiful cooperative future. The Chairman of CSSC---Mr. Hu Wenming, and the Asst. President of CSSC and Chairman of SWS---Mr. Huang Yongxi delivered the speeches respectively. Now the Greek ship owners are the biggest client group of our company, during the long term win-win interaction and trust, Greek shipping industry and China's shipbuilding industry have established a cooperative platform for the mutual learning and respects. Greek ship owners now possess more than 4,000 vessels in the world, accounting for 15% of the world fleet in terms of total tonnage, and Greece is one of the top maritime country. Since the first Aframax Oil Tanker was delivered in 2005, Greek ship owners have accumulatively ordered more than 120 vessels in SWS, and SWS has successively constructed and delivered 93 vessels, among which, there were 60 bulk carriers, 25 oil tankers, and 8 container ships. The cooperation of both sides has withstood the test of market risk and gained great achievements. In the Promotion, the new vessel designs SWS introduced to Greek ship owners include bulk carriers, oil tankers, container ships, LNG and other mainstream vessels. The main emphasis was 180 K DWT, 186 K DWT, 208 K DWT capesize bulk carriers, 318 K DWT, 300 K DWT VLCCs, 115 K DWT Aframax oil tankers and 9,400 TEU, 18,000 TEU container ships, 85,000 cubic meters VLGC and other popular new products. In addition, the Promotion introduced the latest HCSR regulation and requirements, reinforcement on ice zone, NOx Tier III emission requirement, LNG which meets the new IGC requirements, dual fuel vessels development and the world largest container ships design concept.
