On Feb. 27, the container project team of the Quality Assurance and Control Dept. held "The Quality Clarification Meeting of 18000 TEU Container ship". The managers in charge of No.1, Design Dept. and the Assembly Dept.(SWS) and the relevant personnel attended the meeting. The QA/QC Dept. introduced five aspects of the work on quality management and quality control from the basic information, quality objectives, inspection requirements, quality management, and specification. Taking the cases of ship construction abroad as alarm, the QA/QC dept. profoundly expounded the importance to ensure the quality of ultra large container ship construction. In the meeting, the QA/QC Dept. reiterated the feedback mechanism of design issues, as well as the importance of closed management mechanism on amendments. The inspectors are required to compare the returned drawings and the production drawings carefully, while finding any problems, the inspectors should feedback the problems to the Design Dept. timely for solving the problems before the blocks are constructed, and closed the inspection to reduce the modification in the following process. The meeting also emphasized the management of steel materials and material tracking, the tracing system management of heavy plate groove and diagonal-cutting, the tracing system management of ant-torsion box block preheating and welding. The QA/QC Dept. would like to cooperate with other production departments in building the "Great Wall" for ensuring the quality of ultra large container ship.
