On Feb. 20, the Promotion Meeting of New Process and New Method was held in SWS. Learned from the meeting, the new On-water Installation Process of Rudder Blade was successfully implemented on H1236, which was highlighted by Process Management Team from Science and Technology Management Dept.. H1236 is the largest vessel in China, on which the on-water installation process of rudder blade was successfully implemented. The weight of rudder stock is about 55tons, and the weight of rudder blade is 159 tons. The lifting work was completed by both SWS and Jiangnan Dock Crane Co. Before the installation, the top management of SWS has joined the process review for frequently, and gave the guiding ideas, so that the on-water installation process of rudder blade was finally completed. On Jan. 22, the rudder stock was lifted. On Jan. 23, the rudder blade was lifted. With the great efforts of all site workers, the installation work of rudder system was successfully completed on Jan. 27. This successful installation has the great significance, which has helped SWS to accumulate valuable experience for upgrading the shipbuilding technology .
