While the 14th anniversary of SWS is approaching, on Oct. 12, the last block - 805 of H1289 project was successfully erected, marking the main deck smoothly realized the integration. It was reported that the lifting times for the main hull of H1289 in drydock is 28 less than H1288 project, and the construction period from keel laying till integration was also shortened to 44 days, nearly half of the construction period of H1288--84days. In addition, the situation of outfitting and cabin are also better than H1288, the batten parts of both starboard and portside are installed on the living floor, which reached lifting state ahead of the schedule. The erections of 9 glideslopes are all completed and the comprehensive welding has been started. The welding of the main generator was completed at the end of September. The relative ventilation duct was completed. The inspection of the 29 tanks including diesel fuel tanks and ballast tanks, and the tightness of 13 cabins were all completed. The better condition of H1289 laid a good foundation for the test of main generator, erection of lifting foundation, two-stage erection of cantilever beam. On October 18, while the company ushered in the 14th anniversary celebration, the Assembly Dept. completed the welding work of cantilever construction of the main structure of three sections 701/702/703 all over, which is 10 days earlier than the schedule.
