The SWS Development Forum was held on Oct,18, the 14th Anniversary. The theme of the forum is "Reform structure, promote transformation and improve management for realizing the new breakthrough of SWS" with the purpose for analyzing and prospecting the development trend of both container ship market and international marine market with professionals in various fields. The President of SWS, Mr. Wang Qi delivered a greeting speech in the forum and Mr. Zhang Huafang, Deputy Director of Shanghai Municipal Commission of Economy and Informatization was invited to deliver a speech. Mr. Wu Rong, Director of Policies and Regulations Office of China (Shanghai) Pilot Free Trade Zone, Mr. Yu Lai, Deputy Technical Officer of MARIC, Mr. Zhou Jiliang, Director of Clarksons Asia, Mr. Li Ling, Container Ship Expert from GL, Mr. Huang Yongxi, Asst. President of CSSC& Chairman of SWS, Mr. Liu Jianfeng, Asst. President of SWS attended the forum as the invited speakers. Mr. Zhang Shengkun delivered closing address to the forum. On the forum, the topics of "Seizing the Opportunity, Sharing the Bonus of Opening", "New R&D Focus on 16000TEU Container Ships", "Current Situation and Prediction for Container Ships", "The General Construction Plan of 16000TEU Container Ships", "Control the Operation Cost of Existing Fleet by Improving Performance", and "Innovation for Breakthrough, SWS Goes for Restructuring" were discussed thoroughly. Carrying the new information, new ideas, new knowledge and new technology, and showing us the latest academic achievements, the reports also presented the methods and experiences of SWS in implementing "Innovation Lead, Restructuring Development", which have a guiding significance.
