On June 26, following the erection of general block -cantilever beam 70A, for the under-construction jack-up H1318, another good news came that the running inspection for 6 main generators was completed successfully. It marks that while opening the curtain for commissioning, the construction of H1318 entered the installation and commissioning parallel stage, which laid a good foundation for the subsequent commissioning and mooring test.
In the early stage of the construction of H1318 in drydock, the close-coordination departments and production departments worked together to overcome many difficulties such as the late arrival of the switchboard for the main hull and battening equipments. On April 19, the main deck realized the integration. In the following two months, Offshore Project Dept. combining with the construction features of H1318, and combing various system-related volume, developed a systemic plan which can make a breakthrough in the ventilation, generators and air conditions by centralizing the labor advantages. Under the decision made by the top management, the production departments set off a climax for production. On May 8, the ventilation of the main engine room was realized, meanwhile, the cleanliness of the input oil for both host fuel system and lubricating oil system was accepted by the owner, and the chemical cleaning of high temperature water pipe also was approved by the owner. As the late completion of structure for the switchboard room, the internal painting and other work were delayed that brought more trouble for the subsequent cable laying work. With the careful panning and organization by H1318 Project Team, they completed the cable laying and connection with the length of more than 40 km in just 23 days, which provided the strong protection for the running test of 6 main generators.
After the running test of main generator, the project team will usher in another challenge which is the loading test for the 6 generators. For all production departments, the next job is to focus on the generator loading test for ensuring the completion of this milestone.
