On April 2, the steel cutting ceremony of H1288--the first built JU-2000E Drilling Rig for POD owner from Norway was held in SWS. At 11:00 am, there were more than one hundred persons taking parting in the steel cutting ceremony, and witnessing the historic moment for SWS' offshore strategy to step into the success era, who are Mr. Chen Jun--Vice President of SWS, Mr. Bill Rose--President of POD, Mr. Sunil Pangarka--Vice President of POD, supervisors from owner side, surveyors from ABS, and the representatives from both Offshore Project Dept. and Manufacturing Dept.

Mr. Chen Jun--Vice President of SWS and President of the Project, and Mr. Bill Rose--President of POD Norway, on behalf of SWS and POD, respectively delivered the speeches. They all mentioned that since August of last year, the construction contract for two Jack-up Drilling Rigs were signed, the sincere cooperation and the efficient mechanisms for cooperating and exchanging have been established between SWS and POD. We believe that through the unremitting efforts of two sides, we can successfully complete the construction and deliver the rig. We hope that through the construction of JU-2000E, we can set up the long-term strategy cooperation relation, and to create a new situation in the win-win cooperation together.

At 11:18 am, with everyone's attention, Mr. Chen Jun and Mr. Bill Rose pressed the button together to start the cutting machine. With blooming the bright sparks, the first piece of steel plate was successfully cut on the cutting machine, which marks the construction of H1288 started.
