On March 29th, the CJ46 Jack-up rig H1379 was successfully launched in SWS after completion of its final assembly in drydock. This jack up completed keel-laying on Nov. 25, 2015. It only spent 4 months in drydock and thereby set a new record of the shortest docking time among all same type of rigs in China.
H1379 is the CJ46 Jack-up jack up in SWS who firstly finished her final assembly in drydock. In order to ensure the jack up's safe and sound launching and mooring, the offshore project department set out to coordinate actively and established a careful and detailed plan since end of Feb. All the related departments followed the plan immediately and started their preparation work earnestly. On the launching day, H1379 was successfully launched and finally moored and berthed alongside No.5 quay in 6 hours.
In order to perform yard's commitment to owner with high quality and achieve the objective of 4-month drydock period, under the leadership of SWS top management, every production department and production supporting department worked closely with owner, strove and struggled with bold innovation, succeeded in application of new technologies and construction methods, finished all pre-launching construction works within 4 months and ensured smooth launching. The project spent just 1 month in realizing the main deck integration, 75 days in main engine room ventilation, main diesel engine F/L Oil lubricating system flush work and main diesel engines related cable-laying work. The achievement SWS won after four months of hard work was highly regarded and appreciated by owner's project team and it also accumulated valuable experience for further construction of projects.
