SWS built CMA CGM Benjamin Franklin who contains 18000 TEU in the sea, travelled to North America and later ported at Los Angeles and Auckland. On Dec.26, 2015, the largest container ship that U.S or North America ever has ported at L.A and welcomed by locals including city mayor and stars in shipping business. Before this voyage, the 18000 TEU container ships were coursed most in Asia and Europe. It’s the first time CMA CGM Benjamin Franklin has been to Xiamen, Nan Sha, Yan Tian, LA and Auckland. The arrival of CMA CGM Benjamin Franklin is a test of port unloading capacity for future expansion. After its stop at Auckland, it is estimated that more other main container ship companies would course its vessels to North America.
