The third container ship of 18000TEU was completed and delivered

In the morning of December 4th, the naming ceremony for H6003, the seventh generation of 18000 TEU container ship which is built for CSSC(Hong Kong) shipping company, charted by CMA CGM and financially supported by the Export-import Bank of China was held in SCH. Following the delivery of CMA CGM VASCO DE GAMA and CMA CGM Zheng He, this is another very large container ship delivered by SWS which fully reveals SWS’s strong capacity in successive construction and delivery of very large container ships. The ceremony was hosted by vice manager Chen Jun. Wang Qi, general manger of SWS and chairman of the board of SCH、Yang Li , general manager of CSSC shipping、Devic Jellard, vice president of CMA CGM delivered the speech in the ceremony. In the welcome speech, Wang Qi noted, since the construction contract came into effect in June 2013, SWS had been in deep trust and respect with CMA CGM, fully brightened the spirit of collaboration and unity, surmounted a multiple of difficulties, made successive breakthroughs in key technology and construction milestones which led to early completion of three same type of vessels. The practical tests on the vessel prove that the vessel operated in excellent performance and all indicators such as oil consumption can reach world first-class level. Mr. Wang anticipated to join hands with CMA CGM once again to write another new chapter of win-win cooperation. Mr. Yang Li added that following delivery of VASCO DE GAMA and Zheng He, the delivery of Franklin, third of the series, shall draw a perfect end to successful construction of very large container ships which are firstly built by Chinese shipyard. What deserves to be remembered is that such series of ships had enriched SWS with abundant experiences and good market reputation, and played a new historical chapter for Chinese shipyards to undertake series of very large container ships.   Mr. Jellard spoke highly of successful delivery of 18000 TEU container ships. He noted that the innovation of the container ship series lay in energy saving design、optimized hull line、high-efficient ME power、friendly conception of environment protection and largest size of the container ships built in China. Innovation also exists in its finical institution, CSSC Leasing played as the owner and CMA CGM as the charter, while the Export-import Bank of China provided financing support as a strong cooperative partner. He heartedly wished that all parties will continue another successful cooperation in near future.    Madam Zu Fangfei, full-time judge of assessment and review division of the Export-import Bank of China, christened the vessel as CMA CGM FRANKLIN as her godmother and cut the ribbon for the ceremony.   Following people attended the ceremony, Zheng Xinxiang, manager of finance department of CSSC, Xu Xing, vice manager of marine offshore engineering department of CSSC, Lin Feng, vice president of CSTC, Liu Ya, vice president of transportation financing department of the Export-import Bank of China, Claude Melott, vice president and CEO of BV North Asia and Chinese district, Su Long, secretary of the party committee of SCH and Zhou Qi, vice president of SCH., etc.
