The commissioning test of the generators for H1250 was smoothly completed at SCS at 15:00 on March 2, 2013. Starting from 15:00, March 1, in one day the project team has completed the commissioning and once again achieved an excellent result.

  H1250 is a 319,000DWT VLCC built by SCS. Because most of the commissioning personnel for oil tanker have headed for the sea trial of another VLCC H1253, there were a few professional commissioning personnel for oil tanker left. Some of the project team member were drawn from bulk carrier commissioning team who are not familiar with tanker system, resulting in difficulties for the commissioning.  Facing the difficulties, the project team members supported each other and helped new members to become familiar with the system and commissioning process as soon as possible. Finally, they completed the generator commissioning test successfully just in one day with their sufficient perparation and excellent technical skills.

  After the commissioning test, the project team “continued the triumphant pursuit” and submitted for running   inspection of generators on March 5. The running inspection was approved smoothly on March 6, which has saved valuable time for the overall building progress and laid an important basis for the delivery of H1250.
