In the golden October, with red flags flying, SWS ushered her 13th birthday. In the early morning of October 18, with the cheerful sound of music, more than 1,200 employees, who are the representatives from various departments in the company, lined up neatly team in front of company main entrance, to celebrate the 13th anniversary of the founding of the company, and witness this sacred moment. The company top management, Huang Yongxi, Wang Qi, Sun Jianzheng, Xu Ping, Tao Ying, Xu Boxin, Chen Jun, Chang Xudong and  the supervisory board chairman Li Ping,,  the senior  advisers: Hu Chuanzhi, Chen Jinhai, Wang Debao, Chen Kaiguo,  and  the representatives of Owners and  Classes  attended the flag-raising ceremony.

At 8:18, Hu Chuanzhi the former President of the China State Shipbuilding Industry Corporation, senior adviser of SWS, announced the start of the flag-raising ceremony for the 13th anniversary of SWS. Holding the national flag by hand, the soldiers marched in unison, passing by the rostrum. The Five-Starred Red Flag was slowly rising accompanied by the solemn national anthem.

The President of SWS---Mr. Wang Qi, announced the commendation list on the flag-raising ceremony, and called on all staff to take the advanced as an example to improve the skills, to do their work steadfastly, and to work hard for achieving the higher development goals of the company. The advanced personal and the representative from the award-wining groups, including  the Plumber Team of Site Support in Assembly Dept. of SWS got the "National Quality Trustworthy Team" organized by the China Quality Association , Offshore Project Dept. won the " Shanghai Workers Vanguard" organized by Shanghai Municipal Government,  IT Dept. won the  "Science and Technology Progress Award"of CSSC, and the Group's technical experts " of the year 2012, and "Technical Experts " in SWS, the "Quality Trustworthy Team of SWS", sequentially mounted the podium to accept medals and certificates from the leadership  .

The Board Chairman of SWS, and Secretary of Party Committee--Mr. Huang Yongxi, recalled the difficult course of development since the founding of the company in his speech, and fully affirmed the impressive performance of the company under the joint efforts of all staff. It was mentioned that facing the depressed shipping market today, we must proactively adjust our development strategies, to turn pressure into motivation to continuously improve the level of lean management, cultivate advanced culture, and enhance the core competitive strength, for  maintaining a good momentum of development in the marketing adversity and the leading position of management , realizing the breakthrough development, writing a new chapter for the development of SWS, and meeting the 18th CPC Congress with outstanding achievements.
