The interior installation of the atrium dome in the public area of China’s second domestically built large cruise ship H1509, has been successfully completed, achieving this critical milestone six months earlier than its predecessor. This marks the near completion of the main structure of the ship’s most complex public space and paves the way for the upcoming equipment installation and commissioning phase. As the visual centerpiece of the cruise ship, the atrium dome serves multiple functions—structural support, passenger flow, thematic display, and commercial leisure—making its construction one of the most challenging tasks in the shipbuilding process. With an extended hull design and increased span and structural strength requirements compared to the first ship, the project demanded exceptional precision and coordination. This achievement not only demonstrates SWS’s growing expertise in cruise ship construction but also reflects its commitment to innovation, efficiency, and precision in high-complexity maritime projects.
