On April 29, Shanghai Waigaoqiao Shipbuilding Co., Ltd. (SWS), a subsidiary of China State Shipbuilding Corporation Limited (CSSC), in conjunction with CSSC Marketing Co., Ltd., officially signed a contract with Seaspan Corporation, the world's largest independent container ship owner, for the construction of six 10,000 TEU container ships.

This collaboration marks the third strategic partnership between the two parties, following the 7,000 TEU container ships and the world's first 10,800-car LNG dual-fuel car carrier. The project, independently developed and designed by SWS, incorporates several innovative technologies and achieves international leading standards in energy efficiency optimization and navigation performance. The project innovatively adopts a cross-border RMB settlement model, fully supporting the internationalization of the RMB.

The signing of this project further consolidates SWS's leading position in the medium and large container ship market, demonstrating the strong capabilities and innovative spirit of "China Intelligent Manufacturing." By introducing advanced intelligent manufacturing technologies and processes, SWS continuously improves production efficiency and product quality, providing more efficient and environmentally friendly container ship solutions for the global shipping industry.
