China's first home-grown large cruise liner Adora Magic City arrived at its dock in Shanghai on Monday after completing the first trial voyage for eight days.
The trial voyage concluded with all the tests meeting the designed standards.
Starting from July 17, the trial involved more than 60 test tasks concerning the vessel's propulsion system, operating system and comfortableness.
"We have successfully completed the first trial mission, which is the first comprehensive verification on such a large scale," said Zhou Qi, chief builder of large cruise ship projects at Shanghai Waigaoqiao Shipbuilding Co., Ltd.
"It not only verified the navigation capacity of the ship, but also assessed its comfort and the system integrity of the whole ship," said Zhou.
The liner will undergo equipment system debugging and wind up the interior furnishing.
The second trial voyage is expected to start in the following months.
