After a comprehensive vote of the public, experts, and industry departments, the first "Shanghai Design 100+" list has been produced, including 100 confirmed selections and 199 shortlisted entries. The 2.3 M barrels of deep-water generic FPSO successfully entered the "Shanghai Design 100+" list (category of “Key-developing Industry").
This vessel is the first with self-navigated capability, also the second 2.3 million barrels of deep-water generic FPSO so far in the world. Therefore, the completion and delivery of it fully prove the success of this design concept and pioneered the standardized construction of FPSO.

The application of multiple positioning design concepts can ensure the selection of subsequent designs covering the current main FPSO positioning methods, including multi-point/single-point/internal turrets mooring systems. It can be equipped with a variety of topside modules and compatible with a variety of riser system structure designs, allowing the hull and module design to be done separately and freely combined.
The comfort of living cabins and workplaces meets the highest standard of COMF, and the noise requirements are better than Norsok standard. In the development of the ship, green design technologies such as the paint-free deck structure, the hydrocarbon gas protection system with detachable thrusters instead of inert gas, and the environmentally friendly gas fire extinguishing system are adopted, which are more environmentally friendly and environmentally adaptable.
The ship is equipped with two of the world’s most advanced ABB pod-type electric full-rotation thrusters, with a single power of 5,500 kilowatts. It has the characteristics of gearless transmission, no motor cooling, and high-efficiency permanent magnet motors, which can reduce bearing transmission and no oil cooling energy consumption, reduce oil consumption by more than 90%, and fuel consumption by more than 10%. At the same time, environmentally-friendly mineral oil is used for both the nacelle and rudder propeller to avoid any pollution to the environment.
The design and application of 2.3M barrels of deep-water generic FPSO have filled the gap in the design and construction of floating production storage and offloading unit in China and has created a superior brand of advanced offshore equipment in our country. The building and engineering application of this type of FPSO effectively promoted the transformation of FPSO from a single customized mode to a standardized and batch mode, leading the international market and technology development trend of large FPSO unit.
