In the morning of May 8,2018， “PACIFIC UNITY”, the 400K DWT VLOC, which is the biggest VLOC in china, built for HKMW, the subsidiary company of China Merchants Energy Shipping Co. Ltd (CMES), was named and delivered. Mr. Lei Fanpei, the Secretary of CSSC leading party group and Chairman of Board of CSSC, Mr. Nan Daqing, vice President of CSSC, Mr. Li Jianhong，the party secretary and chairman of China Merchants Group, Mr. Wang Hong, vice president of China Merchants Group, Mr. Su Xingang, the chairman of HKMW, and Mr. Xie Chunlin, president of HKMW attended the naming ceremony. Mr. Li Jianhong named the new ship, and Ms. Cui Qian, vice president of China Merchants Hoi Tung, cut the ribbon for the vessel.

Before the beginning the delivery ceremony, the leaders of two sides attending the ceremony held gracious talks on topics of common interest, such as shipping market conditions, "Chinese Vessel Made in domestic" intelligent ships, etc. and talked cordially with the common vision for the future.

The sea trial showed that the vessel's performance index had reached the international leading level among the same type of products. It was been wished that she could play a leading role in the successful implementation of the project between VALE and CMES, and bring more wealth and glory to the ship owners.
