On Nov. 20, after the derrick erected in the drydock last week, another good news for the JU-2000E rig H1318 built for CPOE is coming, that the test of 3 legs locking and single-leg lifting was successfully completed. It is the first time for SWS to realize the single-leg lifting of the jack-up drilling rig in drydock.
According to the requirements of the overall design and lifting test, focusing on the specificity of H1318, Offshore Project Dept. determined the commissioning scheme of carrying out the single-leg lifting test in the drydock. In order to ensure the successful implement of the test, each department had been ready in advance. As early as on Nov. 5, all preparations for lifting lock before the commissioning have been completed. During the commissioning process, Hull Outfitting and Installation Dept, Machinery Installation and Commissioning Dept., Pipe Fabrication Dept. and Offshore Project Dept. actively cooperated to overcome the difficulties, and successfully completed the inspections of 3 spud legs on Nov. 18 with the cooperation of Quality Assurance and Control Dept., Design Dept, HSE Dept. Procurement and Supply Dept. and other relevant departments, so that on Nov. 20, the single-leg lifting test was completed efficiently in drydock.
The completion of the single-leg lifting test of H1318 in drydock marks the progress of the project has taken a leap forward step.
