Recently, SWS was awarded as "Integrity Enterprise in Environmental Protection" by Pudong New District Government. SWS is the first enterprise to be awarded with this title in shipbuilding industry, which is also the first group of "Integrity Enterprise in Environmental Protection" issued by Pudong Government. It indicated SWS has fully taken the social responsibility as a large scale of state-owned enterprise. For a long time, SWS has adhered to implement the social responsibility of environmental protection, paid high attention to the work of environmental protection, continuously set up a sound environmental protection system to guarantee the emission of all kinds of pollutants to meet the indexes. Meanwhile, SWS has continuously improved the environmental management for the key environmental supervision areas. SWS has also dedicated to carry out clean production. There were more than 20 clean production plans been put forward in every year, and 2 of those plans were awarded with "Pilot Project of Clean Production in Shanghai" and have been promoted effectively. It is reported that there were nearly 10 thousand enterprises participated in this "Integrity Enterprise in Environmental Protection" selection. After carrying out on-site evaluation by the experts from Shanghai Pudong New District Environmental Protection & City Management Administrative Execution Bureau, and pubic notice on the web, only 10 enterprises including Shanghai General Motors Co. Ltd, Shanghai Autocaft Co. Ltd, Roche Shanghai and SWS stood out from the rest.
