SWS held Quality Improvement Communication Meeting in Manufacturing Dept.

On May 27, the Quality Improvement Communication Meeting was held in Manufacturing Dept. All management personnel of Manufacturing Dept. the directors in charge of the quality of production departments, the directors of Party Committee Affairs Dept., Strategy and Management Dept. Human Resources Dept. and Manufacturing Dept. (from Changxing Heavy Industry Co., Ltd (CHI)) attended the meeting. The President Wang Qi, Vice President Chen Jun and Chief Officer of HR Zhu Yu attended the meeting and delivered speeches. In the meeting, Quality Assurance and Control Dept. introduced the general requirements of quality improvement, and the application of methods and tools, and intuitively analyzed the gap between SWS and the advanced shipyard in South Korea on the management of welding machines, welding, welders and drawings, and the basic quality by contrasting the pictures. In the report of “Team Quality Improvement Plan” by Manufacturing Dept., the quality management system, the quality management status, the direction and target for improvement and the present achievements were all released in depth comprehensively. As the representatives, two team leaders of Manufacturing Dept. exchanged the experiences of team quality improvement. There are lots of highlights in their introduction, especially in the introduction of the Profile Laying Team, there are the whole operation process simulated by 3D animation including unloading, plasma cutting, manual laying off, grinder grinding, tracking touch-up, round steel cutting and the final packing of parts, which provides a fresh feeling to all attendees. It was the 4th Team Quality Improvement Communication Meeting following Machinery Installation and Commissioning Dept., Erection Dept. and Hull Outfitting and Installation Dept., which is an important part of quality management in SWS, aiming at strengthening the present achievements and continuously improving the quality management level.
