From March 11 to March15, 2013, Lloyd’s Register conducted ISO50001 Conformity Assessment to SWS and judged that an Energy Management System has been initially established and implemented at SWS, that the system documents generally meet the requirements of ISO50001:2011 Standard and that the energy management is basically under control.

As a new management system, ISO50001 Energy Management System is still at the exploratory stage in China shipbuilding industry. It is the first time for SWS to participate in the energy management system assessment. In June 2012, SWS issued a “Notice to promote the construction of energy management system”. After half a year of exploration and operation of energy management system, 33 items of company-level and 37 items of departmental energy baseline and benchmark were determined at SWS. In 2012, totally 75 management programs were worked out to achieve the goal indicators.

It is reported that since 2013 the energy management indicators of main energy consumption Departments have been brought into the annual departmental production and business assessment including 21 Departments such as various Production Departments and Utility Supply and Facility Maintenance Department.
