It was sunny and wind blowing on May 16, 2012.  On No. 2 Outfitting Quay in SWS, there were full of colorful flags. With the witness of all guests, the vessel--"Yangtze Diamond" was unveiled by her Godmother--Ms. Zhao Ninghua. It was the most exciting moment on the naming ceremony of this 316K DWT VLCC built for Nanjing Changjiang Tanker Corporation of Sinotrans CSC (CSCNJTC).

In that morning, another vessel ---206K DWT Newcastle Bulk Carrier (H1235) built for Diana Shipping Services Co., Ltd Greece was named in SCS which is a subordinate shipyard of SWS.  With every's blessing, H1235 was named as "Philadelphia" and unveiled by her Godmother---Ms. Li Li.

The naming and delivery of "Yangtze Diamond" marks that CSCNJTC and SWS, two major state-owned enterprises have made a great contribution on the energy transportation of our country. It is reported that H1185 which was named in that morning is the 4th 316K DWT VLCC built for CSCNJTC by SWS. So far, SWS has delivered 8 VLCCs including 316K DWT and 297K DWT to CSCNJTC, which are all meet the requirements of IACS. The vessel was delivered on the same day, and would also start her voyage on the next day.

On No. 3 Quay in SCS, "Philadelphia" was also named and delivered in that morning with the blessings of all guests.
