On October 25th, the sixth 300,000 DWT VLCC named “GENER8 MILTIADES” which was built by SWS for American GENER8 Maritime, was delivered successfully. One day after that, Mr. Yu Peng, represent the site team, sent a commendatory letter to SWS.
Ship owner side pointed out that a lot of problems had been encountered in the production process such as short construction period, changeable weather and the collective implementation of the optimization and improvement and so on, but SWS still adhered to the principle of Quality First and completed the construction efficiently and delivered “GENER8 MILTIADES” of high quality successfully through the co-efforts between the owner’s site team and shipyard’s project team under the care of the leadership in SWS. During the whole construction process, the site team heaped a high praise to the earnest and responsible working attitude, solid professional knowledge and sincere and professional spirit of all staff involved in the construction, and showed sincere thanks to all project staff.
They particularly praised Wang Zhiping, the foreman, Qian Kang and Yang Hao, the charging managers of this vessel from the Machinery Installation and Commissioning Department of SWS. Their hardworking and level of expertise has left a deep impression to the ship owner. The ship owner said that the launching condition of H1358 was pretty well and in high quality, it laid a good foundation for the following debugging works and the final delivery and saved a lot of precious time. After the sea trial, the Machinery Installation and Commissioning Department showed a positive attitude to cooperate with the ship owner and complete all the works with high quality.
