2016ly SWS Employee Skill Contest Was Officially Launched

On March 3, 2016ly SWS employee skills contest was officially launched in the functional room of the new building. Mr. Xu Ping, Deputy Secretary of the CPC, also Chairman of the Labor Union in SWS, attended and made a speech at the meeting. He pointed out that this activity is a new requirement for SWS to carry out skill contest and enhance the educational work of technicians under new situations, meanwhile, the meeting made an elaborate arrangements concerning the rolling program of the technical contest and working requirements for the hosting and participating departments involved. It is confirmed that this contest was co-hosted by the Labor Union and the Human Resource Department. And the contesting items consisted of 8 jobs including welder, fitter and electrician.,etc. Talent-contester will be spotted at SWS final contest after preliminary contests within departments, and the contest is to be ended at the end of July. In order to be fair, the contest adopted labor quota weight-allocation mechanism, allocated quota ratio as per qualified workers in each department based on different jobs as well as the final contesting prize number supplied by the hosting departments to attract the technical talents' attention to participate into in-depth post skill communication on an equal, open and fair contesting platform. Mr. Xu Ping added his requirements for the contest. He mentioned that the selection and cultivation of outstanding skill talents should firstly be promoted from aspects of ideological consciousness and spiritual quality with a positive, progressive and courageous view. Secondly, the skill contest should be in combination with the cultivation of skill talents. The company shall carry out a comprehensive assessment of the workers' expertise and operational skill by skill contesting activities and offer references for further selection of skill talents. Finally, he stressed that each department should enhance the level of talent cultivation and skill contest under new shipbuilding situation, fully combine the planning and operation of the contest with the practical work and CSSC ‘Modeling 2.0’, cruise ship construction as well as innovation office, turn the skill contest into real practice and improve the level of the technical workers' professional skill. The departmental heads, managers, chairmen of sub-Labor Unions, trainers of involving departments, representatives from SWS Labor Union and the Human Resource Department attended the meeting too.
