The Steel Cutting Ceremony of H1368, CJ46-X100-D Jack-up Drilling Rig built for ESSM PTE LTD was held in Cutting Center of SWS at 11:00 on Mar. 5th. It is regarded as the 2nd type Jack-up Drilling Rig started construction after the JU2000E series. SWS has actually achieved mass production for multi-types of drilling rigs and made remarkable achievements in the restructuring strategy of Offshore Engineering. The Vice President of SWS, Mr. Chen Jun, Deputy Chief Technical Officer of SWS, Mr. Geng Weixiang, Chairman of ESSM Mr. Zhai Jiayu, Director of ESSM Mr. Zhu Yanping, ABS Representatives and the project team of both SWS and ESSM attended the ceremony. The ceremony was hosted by Mr. Zhang Wei, the Chief Offshore Officer of SWS. Mr. Chen Jun delivered a speech in the ceremony. The CJ46 Drilling Rig is the first project for ESSM, as well as the first-built CJ46 Drilling Rig in SWS. Since July of 2013, the construction contract of the two jack ups has come into effect, both sides have made a perfect cooperation. The smoothly production preparation, controllable engineering progress, and orderly key equipment procurement created an excellent condition for steel cutting. Both sides expressed that the steel cutting of H1368 would be a good opportunity to solid the business relationship and achieve win-win situation. The CJ46-X100-D Jack-Up Drilling Rig is regarded as the one of current mainstream drilling rig. With its world class equipment, this kind of Jack-Up is mainly used for exploration, drilling, and operation of oil and gas. This drilling rig is engineered, constructed and commissioned by SWS which is based on Gusto MSC basic design and detail design of YONGSHI, a Singaporean company . The CJ46 Jack-Up Drilling Rig is 70.36 m long, 62m wide and 8-7.75m deep and classified by ABS. The maximum variable payload is 3500 tons at the maximum operation depth of 375 feet. The maximum drilling depth is 30,000 feet. Adopting the ground shipbuilding method, H1368 is going to be assembled on No.2 Pre-erection Platform. According to the production schedule, this Jack-Up will be delivered at the end of 2015.
