In the morning of Oct. 30, SWS ushered in another significant moment. The 206 thousand DWT Capesize Bulk Carrier H1248, which is the 300th vessel built by SWS, was successfully christened and delivered to U-Ming Shipping Co., which is a subsidiary of Taiwan Far Eastern Group. The top management of CSSC and SWS, Shipowners, Class Societies, and guests from Taiwan participated the ceremony and celebrated this grand occasion. In the naming ceremony, the Chairman of CSSC, Mr. Hu Wenming, Asst. President of CSSC and Chairman of SWS, Mr. Huang Yongxi delivered the speeches respectively. With everyone’s blessing, H1248 was named as “CAPE STARS” and unveiled by the godmother--- Mrs Josephine Teo – Senior Minister of State, Ministry of Finance and Ministry of Transport, Singapore. Followed by delivery of "CAPE GLOBE" and "CAPE NEPTUNE", the "CAPE STARS" is the 3rd vessel that is the new generation of 206，000 DWT Capesize Bulk Carrier to U-Ming. Now, SWS has been prosperous in shipbuilding, R&D of new products, marketing. What's more, she has opened up a path of breakthrough development, restructuring development and steady development. By October, SWS had obtained new orders of 51vessels with total of 9.713 million DWT, which is equivalent of about 11% of the world market share which ranked top of all the Chinese shipyards.
