On May 23, SWS held the first meeting of Quality Management Committee in 2013. The President---Wang Qi, Deputy Secretary of Party Committee---Xu Ping, Chief Technical Officer---Tao Ying, Vice President---Chen Jun and more than 70 management personnel attended the meeting. The meeting announced the list of Quality Management Committee, and appointed President Wang Qi as the director of the committee, Tao Ying and Chen Jun as the deputy directors of the committee. The meeting has issued "The Management Promotion Ideas for Quality Assurance and Control Dept.", “The Quality Improvement Requirements for Quality Assurance and Control Dept.”, “The Construction Plan for Secondary Quality Guarantee System of Each Department and the Analysis of Quality Problems”, which comprehensively expounded the management promotion projects, the plan, targets and strategies of Quality Assurance and Control Dept. in 2013. It is reported that the quality management of SWS will focus on the quality improvement and the construction of quality system in this year. Wang Qi pointed out that, to catch up with the advanced shipbuilding enterprises in Japan and South Korea, we must strive for excellence, enhance the quality awareness, further improve the construction of quality assurance system and prevent the quality problems. The meeting clarified the responsibility and roles of all directors of each department, who should promote and implement the purpose and demands of the meeting in the department step by step. In addition to the production departments, the administrative departments should also carry out quality improvement activities and quality system construction. The meeting called on all departments to act immediately and carry out all work orderly with relying on the perfect quality management system. It is reported that SWS will hold once Quality Management Committee meeting every two months, in which the quality improvement progress of each department will be released and reviewed and the quality problems will be analyzed in order to improve the product quality continuously.
